I have had an incredibly busy day in the workshop, I helped Jacqueline finish her Morepork, a pattern we are developing so any comments would be much appreciated - isn't he beautiful though!
I soldered, patina'd and polished three Tuis, unfortunately one of them managed to get a broken bill from the hot solder so will fix that one tomorrow and add strings to them all
I cut, ground, washed and dried a Woodpigeon who is now ready for foiling
The student I am working with came over with his glass pieces masked off and ready for sandblasting, he then did the sandblasting, this glass panel is going to be so totally amazing when it's finished. See the sandblasted pieces below
The design for this panel is not only being made in glass but the student is carving the exact same piece - as you can see by the sandblasting a lot more detail has evolved from the initial drawing - and making a wooden frame for the glass panel to sand in, it is approximately 1800 x 750 so is going to be a very impressive piece, I am really enjoying being part of this wonderful project!
I use Dragonfly Software check it out!
