Glass Cutting and Copper Foiling May 2021 Workshop
About the Workshop
This workshop will be held over 3 evenings on May 11th, 18th, and 25th from 6pm-8.30pm
You will learn how to work to a pattern to make a stained glass item using the Tiffany or Copper Foil technique.
The main thing is to keep your first project simple so that you can learn all the stages and get to take the finished item home. You can do more involved projects later at home, or in our advanced classes. Course cost includes glass for learning to cut glass, the use of tools and all materials for your project except the glass.
This first evening will be glass cutting, in this class you will learn the skills to cut and break simple to tricky shapes successfully.
You will be able to choose a beginner’s project from a selection of patterns available, depending on your glass cutting skill level, and your level of confidence, and purchase the glass for your project.
May 18th and 25th
You will cut the pieces for your project, learn to use the glass grinder to grind the edges of your pieces, learn how to apply the copper foil, and solder your project, along with the finishing processes.
